Cut a piece of new string, around 15cm long, add one size 12/0 bead at the center of the string.
Pass each side of the string through one mirror old bead from each side of the two stars.
Continue to add size 12/0 beads by crisscrossing the lines through the new bead and passing each side of the string through old beads from each side of the stars as shown, continue working until you have gone through all the beads at the rims of the stars. Tie off, and you are done!

The Burfitt 3-stage wire looping plier.
It’s a very useful tool to have if you want to make jump rings or eye pin loops. It’s great for those of us who cannot make consistent wire loops; the Burfitt wire looping tool will solve your problems. It will also save you money as you can make your own jump rings.
One side of the jaw consists of the equivalent of 3 round nose pliers or three circular tubes that are different circumference’s and are the forming jaws for the loops or rings. The other side is concave or channeled so the loops remain round when being formed. This tool is very user friendly. Even I can use them.
Come and see me at my stand one day I can offer a demonstration of my skills using the micro 3 stage wire looping plier and the 3 stage wire looping plier. If not I will explain the process below:
MAKING A BEAUTIFUL LOOP
1. When you need to make a loop as for ear rings, first place the wire between the jaws in direct line with one of the sized mandrill that you select for the loop.
2. Next gently squeeze the plier’s jaws together and you will see the wire curve as it is squeezed against the concave side. This will form the initial curve of the loop. Wrap the wire around the mandrill to complete the full circle of the loop.
You have now a perfect loop ready for the earring dangle or on the way to making jump rings
3. This process can be repeated several times and burfitt tools has 3 styles of loops : the 3 stage wire looping plier, the micro wire looping plier and the contouring plier for those who are more flexible with judging the size of the loop they require.
MAKING COILS
1. Cut a length of wire – not to thick, grip the tip with one of the Stepped mandrills at the top. As the coil is to be formed in an anti-clockwise direction by moving your pliers to the right.
2. Keep turning the plier and keep a grip on the wire. Release the wire and turn your wrist in a circular motion or coiling motions re-grip the wire and repeat. Similar wrist motions as that of an accelerator on a motor bike, repeat this procedure to see the coil being formed. When the tip appears, make sure you keep it on the left and include it by sandwiching between the jaws as the coiling progresses.
3. Also important is a firm grip on the wire being turned.
4. Be gentle with this operation as you do not want to damage the wire and quick movements on the plier may cause a cut in the wire on certain material like silver.
5. If you are cutting up the coil for jump rings, make sure you remember to hold the flush cutter so the flat side is the one that is giving you the flush edge. The cut edges are not as good as saw cut rings but making jump rings this way is a lot quicker. You can remove the tiny burs by hand filing or tumbling the rings.
6. You will also be able to make some short coils
Best regards -Murray
